How decisions are built

Evidence before a verdict.

The current directory is a sourced research product, not a hands-on review program. The label on every claim should make that distinction clear.

Fit

We start with the repeated job, current software environment, accountable owner, data class, and review step. A popular tool can still be a poor operational fit.

Operating cost

We consider required plans, minimum seats, usage or credit mechanics, implementation work, administration, training, review time, and exit cost. Prices are omitted until a maintained pricing workflow exists.

Risk

We record vendor-stated data handling, permissions, administration, limitations, and plan dependencies when the official source supports them. We do not turn vendor copy into a compliance guarantee.

Source rule

Each tool profile links to a current official product, help, licensing, or policy page and records a verification date. Unsourced ratings, market claims, testimonials, and hands-on conclusions are prohibited.

Commercial rule

Payments, affiliate relationships, and sponsorships cannot change the evaluation method. Any future commercial relationship must be disclosed on the profile and at the decision point.
